Paso Robles Nightlife: Bars, Cocktails & Local Hangouts

• Cane Tiki RoomA tropical tiki bar downtown — rum, tiki cocktails, and a fun island vibe. During the hot summer, I like to hang out here for the refreshing feel of the creative cocktails, and I especially enjoy the spicy green beans and Mongolian beef to go with the tropical drinks.
  
• Esperanza on the RooftopThis is the nicest rooftop bar in town, atop The Ava Hotel — Baja-inspired shareable plates and agave-forward cocktails, with weekend DJ nights. Such a great atmosphere. When it's just two of us, we hang out at the bar and chat with the bartender. With a larger group, we grab a lounge area and relax while catching up. Cocktails are good, and the scene is hard to replicate.
  
• SalinaA rooftop bar atop The Piccolo Hotel — craft cocktails, wood-fired pizza, and golden-hour views over the downtown square.
  
• Eleven Twenty TwoA hidden 1930s-style speakeasy tucked behind Pappy McGregor's downtown — craft cocktails, candlelight, no phones. They take your phone at the door and hold it until you leave, so don't expect to see photos from inside — part of the old-school charm.
  

• The Pour HouseLocal beer, wine, cider, and more. I go every Tuesday for their well-orchestrated trivia night, or on weekends to watch and dance to live bands in their new extension.
  
• The Crimson CueA downtown pool hall with beer on tap and a relaxed, social scene — open evenings only, so it's a natural fit after dinner.
  
• Club Car BarAt Templeton Mercantile, next to Pig Iron — a western-themed lounge with regular live music, Tuesday trivia, monthly karaoke, and a heated patio with a fire pit.
  
• A-Town Chop ShopAxe and knife throwing in Atascadero, plus a game lounge with shuffleboard, foosball, and arcade games. Guided sessions, local beer on tap, and karaoke on select nights.

• Vina Robles AmphitheatreA beautiful outdoor concert venue hosting top touring acts all season — wine country's premier live-music spot. I go to multiple shows each season here. Each time, it feels like I'm in a movie where the setting is perfect and I'm living the dream — of course, that's exactly the point. This venue is worth a trip in itself, so book a concert and live the dream.
  
• Rava WinesA striking estate that hosts concerts and live-music events among the vines — a memorable wine-country night out.
  
• LibrettoAn intimate 62-seat jazz club on Park Street, set on the site of the 1919 Paso Robles Opera House — named one of the world's top jazz venues by DownBeat Magazine. Jazz, blues, classical, and opera are performed on their rare Steinway & Sons concert grand piano, Thursday through Sunday nights. Libretto is a special place. It's not commercialized like other venues, and you can see and hear some incredible artists. I treasure the highly intimate, underground experience of listening to renowned musicians here.
• California Mid-State FairHeld every July at the Paso Robles Event Center — a major concert lineup alongside the rodeo, carnival, and classic fair fun.
  

We enjoy lots of live music! Most wineries or downtown tasting rooms offer live music on weekends and on some weekdays. Please check with the individual venues if you want to experience and support live music.
